Spiral Galaxy M100 (also known as Messier Object 100, Messier 100, M100 or NGC 4321) is a spiral galaxy in the Coma Berenices constellation. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1781. M100 is located at 17 Megaparsecs (55.4 million light years or 19.2 sextillion miles) from Earth and has a diameter of 36,800 parsecs. It is one of the brightest members of the Virgo cluster.
