Comet Ikeya-Zhang (officially designated 153P/Ikeya-Zhang) is a comet discovered independently by two astronomers from Japan and China in 2002. Zhang Daqing from Kaifeng thought he was the first to see the comet in the Cetus constellation, but found that Japanese astronomer Kaoru Ikeya discovered it earlier than him, the same night, as the time of sunset is slightly earlier in Japan than China.
